The Semiconducor Intel giant continues to shake its superior leadership, after Lip-bu tan took the steering wheel as CEO in March.
Intel announced Monday that Michelle Johnston Holthaus will depart from the company after more than three decades. Johnston Holthhaus was recently Managing Director of Intel Products and will remain a strategic adviser.
The company also announced the creation of a central group of engineers that will create a new customized silicon business for outdoor customers, according to Intel. This team will be available by Srinivasan “Srini” Iyengar, who joined Intel by Cadence Design Systems in July.
Intel also said that Kevok Kechichian, a former ARM, will participate in the company as head of her data team. Jim Johnson was appointed senior vice -president and general manager of the Intel Customer Computer Group. Naga Chandrasekaran, head of Intel Foundry, the company’s business unit that creates customized brands for outdoor customers, also assumes an extensive role.
“With Srini leading central engineering. We are aligning innovation and execution tighter to service to customers,” Tan told a press release. “We are focused on the laser on the provision of world -class products and the strengthening of our engineering groups moving faster and perform with excellence. Kevork, Jim and Srini are excellent leaders whose deep technical relationships and industry relationships will be decisive as we continue to build a new Intel.”
These news comes just a few weeks after the US government’s announcement a plan to convert existing government grants into a 10% share in Intel. The deal was structured to punish Intel if the company fell below 50% of its landfill unit.
These were not the only leadership in Intel this year.
