Snapchat launches a new lens that allows users to create and edit images using a text AI generator in image, the company told TechCrunch exclusively. The new “Imagine lens” is available to Snapchat+ Platinum and Lens+ subscribers.
Imagine the lens allows users to create, process and re -create snaps by introducing their own prompts. They can then share the picture with their friends, place it in their story or share it outside Snapchat.
While Snapchat already has many AI genetic lenses, the company notes that the LENS email is the first open image production lens.
Users can create images using custom prompts such as “create a picture of a grumpy cat” or “convert me to a foreign”. The lens also has pre-loaded prompts that people can use, such as “convert me to a comedian of four to five panels, where something unexpected but heroic happens”, “make me a funny caricature” and “to do this Skydive person”.
Snapchat notes that users can always press the caption line to process their exhortation in anything they would like.
Earlier this year, Snap presented an AI research model in a text image for mobile devices that said it would authorize some of the features of Snapchat in the future. While Snap did not confirm whether this model dominates the new lens, he noted that its lenses were made using a combination of both the interior models and the top AI models.
Snapchat+ Platinum and Lens+ subscribers can find the new lens at the front of the carousel lens or exclusive category. After choosing the lens, they can press the caption to enter or process the prompt. A Platinum subscription costs $ 15.99 a month, while a lens subscription+ costs $ 8.99 a month.
