Productivity tools focused on private life Proton has released A new authentication application Today, allowing users to connect to services using IDs of IDs dynamically produced.
The free app is available on all platforms starting today, including iOS, Android, Windows, Macos and Linux. The application allows users to synchronize codes and accounts on all devices. The company said that just like its other products, Authenticator Proton is an open source and uses end to end to protect users.
Users can easily enter login codes from other authentication applications, the company said. In addition, the application automatically supports the codes and also works without internet connection.
“Two-factor authentication is essential for everyone-not just those who are interested in their privacy.” Proton Authenticator control is built for anyone who wants a safe, transparent and convenient way to protect their accounts, “said Eamonn Maguire, head of Proton account security.
“We believe that strong security should never come with the cost of your convenience or privacy, so we have developed Authenticator Proton: to give users the peace of mind that 2FA codes are available anywhere, without relying on Google or Microsoft.
Two -factor authentication using an application provides users with an extra layer of security to prevent attackers from taking accounts. While two -factor -based authentication is another option, it is often vulnerable to SIM exchange attacks, in which attackers can block your calls and messages.
The proton is located in a product release spree. Earlier this week, the company launched an AI Chatbot that focuses on privacy protection, which does not maintain any conversation file or uses user data to train models.
