Hundreds of thousands of talks that users had with Elon Musk’s XAI Chatbot Grok are easily accessible through Google Search, Forbes reports.
Whenever a Grok user clicks the “Share” button in a chatbot conversation, it creates a unique URL that the user can use to share the conversation by email, text or social media. According to Forbes, these URLs are indexed by search engines such as Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo, which in turn allows anyone to look at these conversations online.
Users of Meta and Openai chatbots have recently been influenced by a similar problem and, like these cases, grok talks give us a look at less than users’ investment desires about how to hack crypto Wallets. Dirty conversations with a clear AI face; and asking for instructions on meth cooking.
XAI rules prohibit the use of his bot to “critically promote human life” or to develop “biological members, chemical weapons or weapons of mass destruction”, though it obviously did not stop users asking Grok to help with such things anyway.
According to talks accessible by Google, Grok gave users’ instructions to create Fentanyl, which mentioned various suicide methods, gave tips on making bombs and even a detailed plan for the murder of Elon Musk.
XAI did not immediately respond to a request for comments. We also asked for when Xai started adjusting Grok’s talks.
Late last month, Chatgpt users were heard the alarm that their talks were indexed to Google, which Openai described as a “short -lived experiment”. In a post Musk Quote-Tweeted with the words “Grok ftw“Grok explained that he had ‘no such sharing feature’ and“ priority[s] privacy.”
