Trump’s administration eliminates the big pricing exceptions for the technological industry.

While President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he would do Delayed many of the invoices that close the market It had announced last week, it maintained a 10% universal basis position, while increasing invoices in Chinese goods to 125% (over a 20% invoice already imposed on goods by China).

There have been many speculations about what invoices for the technology industry will mean, which manufactures many electronic consumer in China and elsewhere. One of Trump’s stated goals is to restore construction to the United States but others believe The dream of an American iPhone is a fantasy.

These discussions may stop after Friday night, when the protection of US Customs and Borders has been published A list of product categories “excluded from the mutual invoices imposed under the Executive Command 14257”, with the exceptions returning on April 5.

These categories seem to include smartphones, laptops, hard drives and semiconductors. These products will be exempt from both the 125% invoice in the goods from China and the Catholic Base Invoice. (Other invoices, such as the previous 20% invoice in Chinese goods, would continue to apply.)

Notable Silicon Valley figures led by Elon Musk have joined the Trump administration, while other technology chief executives have inflated Trump, more visible with millions of dollars donated to its inauguration. These efforts seemed to bring small fruits – until her announcement last night, which Daniel Ives, a world leader of technological research in Wedbush Securities, is described as “a dream scenario for technology investors”.

Technological giants such as Apple and Nvidia are probably celebrating the news, as well as US consumers who will avoid a great mark on their next iPhone. But the industry could still be hit with more targeted tariffs and other restrictions. For example, the New York Times report that Trump administration is preparing a national security -related survey to semiconductors.
