The X Elon Musk will begin to experiment with a new way of using Community notes, the event control system, to highlight positions from users with different prospects. On Thursday, Community Account notes x announced Starting a pilot test where the selected contributors could evaluate the posts by answering questions about why they either like it or do not like this particular post.
The system is similar to the way in which the Community notes of control of events are operating. Instead of simply allowing users to upgrade or reduce positions for precision-something that could easily play if the like-minded contributors worked to promote their own views-Community notes use something called “bridging algorithm”. This is trying to find consensus between people who usually do not share the same views.
If users whose views usually differ and both agree that a check of the events is accurate, the note is published and visible to the public. While X’s system has been criticized to be very slow and unable to keep up with the huge amounts of misinformation on the platform, the same idea was adopted by META as a replacement for controlling events.
Now X intends to see if community notes could help identify the best publications.
Starting today, the company says that a subset of community contributors will begin to see a new Callout in the product when a position is gaining attention in the form of sympathetic. The contributors will then be able to evaluate and provide feedback on the position, which will inform the algorithm if the post is well accepted by people with different prospects.
To one position Regarding the Community X -note account, the company explains that the experiment could bring awareness to “what is widely resonated”.
“People often feel that people are divided, but Community notes show that people can agree, even on disputed issues. This experimental new feature seeks to reveal ideas, ideas and opinions that bridge the prospects,” Post says. “After the path we used to develop Community notes. We publicly build a small pilot so that this concept can be shaped by people.
