Creating friends as an adult can be tough, especially after the transition to a new city. Fortunately, there is modern technology and more people are turning to applications such as Bumble for Friends, Flox and Timeleft to quickly form new friendships.

An app called Les amis It aims to stand out with the aim of women, transsexuals and LGBTQ+individuals, especially in the mid -20s to the early 1940s.

Les Amis uses AI to combine users with similar interests and encourages them to participate in local events offered, such as pottery classes, books, wine tastings and pilates.

Anna Bilych (Ex-PayPal) created the application in 2022 alongside the co-founder of Oleg Pashinin (Ex-Google AI), after struggling to rebuild her social circle after its relocation.

Now, the European application is currently circulating in US markets. It started in New York earlier this month.

Les Amis (French for “Friends”) is designed to make it easier for users to connect to peers in their area. It has a dating applications similar, where users create profiles by choosing profile photos, writing a resume and choosing from a list of interests, which include poetry, gardening, yoga, martial arts and much more.

The app includes an AI assistant called “Amis”, which helps in the matching process. Every two weeks, users can participate in matching rounds where AI connects them to a possible friend based on common interests. It also connects them with others to similar stages of life – whether it is a single, married, mother, young in the city, or even to connect with someone in a comparable career.

The AI sets the matches on Mondays, giving users enough time to chat and coordinate meetings later a week.

In addition, the app has an exploration page for users to register for local events and experiences, such as workshops, social gatherings and recreational activities. Recently started “trips”, where users can travel to groups to destinations such as Morocco, Iceland and Amalfi’s coast.

The application operates on a business -based business model, with remuneration that varies with the city. For example, the monthly fee is $ 70 in New York and € 55 in Amsterdam. The membership of a member includes a flexible credit system to spend on experiences that can be spent on any city where Les Amis is available, allowing members to attend events while traveling.

Les Amis is available iOS and Android Devices across Europe, such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Paris and Stockholm.

As for US markets, the application was introduced to Austin last May, except for New York. Les Amis plans to extend to Boston then followed by Washington, DC, next month and Miami in October. A launch in Los Angeles is also on the march map.

It is important to note that there are no Les Amis events currently in New York, but they will soon begin on August 25th. The application is still in the application phase and has received more than 2,000 applications from users in New York.

Overall, the application offers about 120,000 facilities and about 30,000 women have attended events to date. The company also reports that it has recently reached an annual performance of $ 1 million.
