Earlier this week, in fact, Taylor announced that Sierra is launching the second year of the so -called APX program, a rotational opportunity for recent technical graduates who immediately reflect the Google program that started both Taylor’s career and co -founder Clay Bavor two decades ago.
The recruitment announcement stands out in what has become an increasingly difficult labor market, especially as companies evaluate the power of AI technologies such as those sold by Sierra and their possible impact on the needs of the workforce.
The program aims to graduates of computer science and says it offers experience both the mechanical agent and product management. Taylor described the roles that provide what he calls a “irresponsible amount of responsibility” – similar to the freedom of building and launching products that Bavor had on Google – with new graduates expected to work in multiple product launches during the first year.
