Sora’s rapid adoption led to several scammers App Store to try to get into practice. Many of the applications were not newcomers. Some had lived in the App Store – sometimes using other names – from earlier in the year or even last year. The scammers, who also include those living in Google Play, had seen about 300,000 collective installations to date, with north of 80,000 facilities coming after the official launch of the SORA application. (Since then he announced that the official Sora mobile application has been taken 1 million times for comparison.)

Almost all scammers had been informed immediately after the opening of the Openai Sora application to benefit from the demand and searches of consumer, often changing their name.

It is not clear how these applications were able to slip beyond Apple reviewers. Apple ended up pulling many of them from its App Store, Appfigures said.

From the fraudulent applications, the largest was called “Sora 2 – Ai Video Generator” – an obvious attempt to play the App Store is looking for the word “sora”. He saw more than 50,000 facilities after the start of the official application.
