Beeper's All In One Message Exchange Application Rejuvenates With Model And Upgrades

Application of Multi -Service Message Exchange Buzzerwhich allows people to connect with all their conversation applications from a interface, reinstalling its application on Wednesday to offer a safer version that no longer requires the use of its own cloud services. In addition, Beeper introduces high quality offers that provide access to more accounts from its free grade and include user features, such as reminders, sending messages later, anonymous to read messages without signaling AI Voice Note transcripts and much more.

Now belongs to the manufacturer of WordPress.com AutomatedWhich bought Beeper for $ 125 million in 2024, the app is almost fully completed with Competitor texts.com, which Automattic also acquired the previous year for $ 50 million.

With a combined group of 30 people (including contractors) and now working with the Beeper brand, the messaging app supports Whatsapp, Instagram, Messenger, X, Telegram, Signal, Matrix, Slack, Google Chat, Discord, Linkedin and Google Messages (SMS/RCS). Only on Mac computers, Beeper can also connect users to their IMESSAGE conversations, although Apple has closed this access to previous versions.

The overall goal, according to Automattic, is to simplify the problem of having too many messages to keep up, keeping these conversations safe.

The application was first linked to the Beeper Cloud before contacting the messages, Beeper CEO Kishan Bagaria said. While this system remains the default, users will now be able to go to violence on the device, which will see the application that will be directly connected to the messages and omit the intermediary.

“This ensures that end -to -end encryption is maintained and your privacy is as good as the official application,” Bagaria told TechCrunch in an interview before rebooting the application. Whether the companies involved will assess that their own applications are bypassed, however, remains to be seen.

“We have good relationships with some of these companies, and some of them are okay with it,” Bagaria said. “Others. We haven’t really heard from a long time.”

To prevent any possible interruptions from messaging providers, Beeper aims to support the business models of first -party applications whenever possible. For example, if the telegram displays ads, these ads will also appear in Beeper.

In addition, EU regulations demanding that they be interoperable messaging platforms could put pressure on messaging providers to leave a solution like Beeper’s alone.

Along with the restart, there will now be the option to upgrade to a new Premium Plan $ 9.99 plan, Beeper Plus, which allows users to connect with 10 messages instead of the five accessible users access.

In addition, subscribers have the ability to plan messages that will later send, they can set reminders to watch the conversations, read messages in Incognito, so that they do not feel pressured to respond immediately, to access multiple accounts per network, user) and exchange their application icon for a custom version.

An even higher level, Beeper Plus, which starts at $ 49.99 a month, offers access to unlimited accounts and is designed with the needs of businesses or social media managers in mind. (Annual subscriptions are also available at a reduced price of $ 99.99 per year for Beeper Plus and $ 499 per year for Beeper Plus.)

After Automattic acquired Beeper, the company joined its team with texts.com to develop a new product that offered the best of both services. With Wednesday restarting, these applications are now integrated 99%, Bagaria said, as only a few smaller features remain to be transported.

Finally, the latest acquisition of Automattic, the personal clay CRM, which can later be remodeled, will also be integrated with Beeper, although there will be an autonomous application.

“It will be built mostly on top of the Beeper platform – it will remain free,” Bagaria said. ‘Clay is an amazing application [as it] It works today. Then, with Beeper, it can simply consume more interactions and data, which will make it like 2x to 10x better. Once this is done, I am sure Clay can be a very powerful product. ”

Beeper today has millions of registered users, including those from texts.com. A small part of those who still use texts.com are now offered the ability to emigrate to Beeper, as it has added the on-division technology they prefer.

Bagaria has said that there may still be some remaining issues around reliability when moving to the On-Device model, but they are processed as extremes of limbs. At a later point, the Beeper Cloud will be abolished when the company is sure that the on-date model is able to be a daily driver of everyone.

Further down the road, Beeper aims to make its data available to other companies, licensed and audits for privacy. For example, a Mcp (Model Environment Protocol) One day one day could allow users to connect with chat applications via Claude or Chatgpt to ask things like “all my important messages in the afternoon summarize”.

These developments will take some time, as Bagaria says it is also a “very conscious user of privacy”, and would like a solution that is very transparent about access to access and when and one that allows users to even say manually yes or not to data requests.

“Also, we don’t want to have server holdings where we have trained models in your data. This is a complete no-no,” he said.
