This builds on Etsy’s broader AI push, which includes a Experience discovery with artificial intelligence featuring curated collections and a suite of seller toolsincluding a tool to help create product titles and descriptions, as well as a writing assistant to help compose messages to buyers. In 2024, Etsy introduced a new “Designed” tag to identify AI content, part of an effort to increase transparency as AI-generated artwork becomes more prevalent on the platform.
News of the ChatGPT integration comes a week after Etsy was mentioned First-quarter 2026 earnings beat revenue expectations by $631 million, and gross merchandise sales in the market rose 6% year-over-year.
