Flower laboratoriesA boot supported by Y Combinator launched on Tuesday a preview of the distributed cloud platform for the service of AI models, called Flower Intelligence. Mozilla already uses it to feed the upcoming Help Summary Add For the Thunderbird email customer.

Companies like Microsoft and Apple have adopted similar approaches to all operating systems and devices. However, Flower is one of the first to build a hybrid AI-Local Cloud platform entirely on open models, including Meta’s Llama family, Chinese Ai Lab Deepseek and Mistral.
Labs Labs claim that the cloud, the Flower Confidential Remote Compute Service, uses end to end and “other techniques” to protect sensitive user data. In a statement, Ryan Sipes, Managing Director of Mozilla Thunderbird, said Flower Intelligence allows Mozilla to transfer AI to AI devices that “works locally with the most sensitive data”.
Developers can apply for timely access to flower intelligence from Tuesday. Labs Labs report that it plans to make the service more widely available in the near future and to introduce capabilities, including models, refinement and “federal” training in the cloud.
Flower Labs hosts an online and personal summit in London on March 26, where the company promises to reveal additional details and features of flower intelligence.
Since launched in 2023, Flower Labs has raised about $ 23.6 million in business capital from investors, including Felicis, Hugging Face Ceo Clem Delangue, Betaworks and Pioneer Fund. Brave, the open source web browser, was the first partner and partner.
