Google Reveals Ai's Internal And External Cameras, And A New

As part of its Google Home event on Wednesday, the company presented a refreshed Nest – Smart Home Security Cameras and Rustors brand – including a new Nest Cam Outdoor, $ 99.99 all devices are designed to present Google Gemini AI’s AI AI Three come with 2K HDR video, high -resolution format that offers more intense images of previous models and the highest resolution sent by Google.

The company notes that it has chosen this sensor because it will offer the level of loyalty that Gemini models could use both now and proceed as technology evolves. In addition, he wanted to ensure that users can magnify and see a certain degree of detail – such as a license plate in an unknown vehicle outside their home, perhaps – and balance with the desire not to consume too much.

In addition to the 2K HDR, the cameras offer a wider and taller field of view compared to previous devices. The new 152 -degree diagonal viewing allows users to see more than what is happening. In the bell, in the meantime, Google has increased both the field of view, now 166 degrees and the dimensional ratio to 1: 1, offering a more square image.

This will allow the device to see a more detailed view, including the head and the feet of someone standing on the door and left and right, including the packets on the ground.

A new sensor and the wider opening also give the cameras better low light performance. Google reports that the devices allow 120% of light sensitivity to the older models and can remain in full color more dawn and dusk. And they will still offer infrared vision, which uses heat signatures to see in complete darkness, for night projection.

In addition, when users are alerted to an event at the door, the preview images will now be magnified to show what has caused the warning, making it easier to look. Or, if a user wants to have the bell’s opinion to zoom permanently in a particular area, they can now magnify and cultivate it so that it remains stable.

Gemini’s smarts come to nest

However, where Google hopes to compete with its opponents is with the capabilities of the twins and the improved characteristics of the base line.

For beginners, he doubles his history from three to six hours at the free level. And, for any event that has happened in those six hours, users will receive a 10 -second video. If users want more history, they can choose to upgrade to 10 days, 60 days or other designs.

Gemini enters the game by making alerts smarter.

Today, people receive dozens of alerts when there are camera events, such as people who are detected, traffic, packages delivered and much more. But the weight is currently on the user to understand what matters and what is not. Gemini, instead, will add more framework to these notifications.

For example, instead of getting a motion warning, you may receive something that says, “The dog jumps from the Playpen”, which you can then watch in a zoom video preview.

“This will be transformed the Gemini. This experience is supported by what we call ‘semantic scene understanding’, said by Anish Kattukaran, head of Google Home and Nest, in a press briefing before Wednesday’s announcement. Because Gemini is a multimodal-this is a multimodal- Gemini is very modern, what he can do is that he can really analyze and interpret what’s going on in the video, “he continued.

“So now we go from the” person who is detected “or” package delivered “to the Gemini who interprets that a FedEx delivery guide places a package on the terrace and walks away,” Kattukaran explained.

In addition, a Google Home application called “Home Brief” will summarize the activities of the last 24 hours you missed while you are away. This means that you could see which packages were delivered, whether it was the dog that hit over the coffee table, which people stopped or anything else that could have happened. You can also tell the Gemini to make the shorter or smaller one or focus only on children or pets or anything else interesting.

You could ask the twin what time the children returned from school if the landscape appeared, or if UPS came, for example.

Gemini will also help more people benefit from more complex features, such as home automation – predetermined routines that automatically control many devices – or better understand their energy use.

Instead of manually configuring automation, you could tell Gemini (even quite vaguely) that you would like to feel safer in your home and AI could advise you on how to set up a routine that includes closures of blinds and locking doors or creating a long way.

The cameras come in packages without plastic and are available in new colors. The Nest Cam Indoor (wired, 3rd Gen. 99.99) is offered in snow, hazelnuts and berry, while the outdoor camera (Wired, 2nd Gen., $ 149.99) is available in snow and hazelnut and is nominal, which means it is weather and can withstand dust and rain. The remodeled resin on the outside of the latter is also designed to provide long -term protection against ultraviolet radiation and better viability, Google notes.

For safety, a green light will still appear when the camera is or streaming videos, as before. Google offers additional encrypted video, two -step verification and binds that your video is never used for other purposes, such as advertising or personalization.

The bell (Wired, 2nd Gen, $ 179.99) comes in snow, hazelnut and linen.

The devices are sold to large retailers and the Google store. Nest cameras are available in the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Norway. The new Nest bells will be available in the US and Canada.

To attract a wider consumer base, Google also worked with Walmart to launch a more affordable bell and camera, named as an Ono Inn ($ 22.96) camera and Onn Video Doorbell Wired ($ 49.86). These offer a live view resolution of 1080p. A paid subscription unlocks additional clever features from Gemini.

Nest Aware Rebrands as Premium Home Google

Along with this version, the existing Nest Aware subscription is redesigned as Google Home Premium, but levels and pricing will remain the same. (Home Premium Standard is $ 10/Mo and Home Premium Advanced is $ 20/Mo.) Google Home Premium will also be added to Google One subscriptions at no extra cost. This means that if you have the Google Ai Pro Tier ($ 20/mo), Google Home Premium standard will be included free of charge while Google Ai Ultra Users ($ 250/Mo) will have access to Google Home Premium Advanced.

Finally, users should no longer change between the Nest Mobile app and the Google Home app, as all features have been incorporated into the Home app. However, the Nest app will not go right away. Google says it will work first to make sure that Nest users can go perfectly. (Read more about the new home app here.)
