How To Get Rid Of Apple Mail's New Redesign

There are three inevitables in life: death, taxes and technological platforms that make changes to design that are frustrated worldwide. The last victim of this phenomenon is the Apple Mail app, which received a significant redesign on iOS 18. This update is also available on iPads and MacBooks.

The new Apple Mail design separates emails into categories such as primary, transactions, updates and promotions. It also provides communication photos to each sender, who is aligned with the company’s new Characteristics For businesses throughout the iOS ecosystem.

While some users find redesigned visually unfair and difficult to navigate, others find that they are more likely to lose significant messages, which is not ideal.

In all social media, iOS users have described this update as “completely unreliable“”indecipherable“And”so ugly. “Some have gone as far as the UX designers want to” to “hedgehogs. ”

Fortunately, there is a way to disable these updates without manifesting this unthinkable pain of the rectum in the world.

  • First, open your mail application on iOS 18.
  • Locate the three -point menu in the upper right corner of your screen.
  • From there, select “View List” instead of “Categories” as your screen.

While this at least returns your inbox to any arrangement you had before, there is still a lot of visual clutter, as communication photos are still appearing in the application. This can be convenient when you send messages through messages, because you probably have photos of your friends and family. But in your inbox, it doesn’t really help to see a small yellow shopping bag next to each email from a retailer – especially since multiple blogs and newsletters I subscribe to to point out with the same image as H&M or anthropology.

To get rid of communication photos in iOS mail application, follow these steps.

  • Open the settings app on your iPhone.
  • Go to the bottom of the screen, where you will see a section called apps.
  • From the apps menu, move until you find the mail app (or just type mail on the search bar to save yourself a compact five seconds – life is short).
  • Below the message list with the label, change the option that reads the look of contact photos.

Finally, your mail application is free of clutter – well, except for these advertising messages from H&M and Anthropologie that you don’t really open anyway. Maybe it’s time to remove your registration from a bundle of mail lists? You are on your own for this.
