Intel reveals a new processor powered by Semiconductor 18A technology

Six months after the lip-bu tan began his attempt to turn around the Intel racing, the Semiconductor giant announced a significant upgrade of material.

On Thursday, Intel presented a new processorPanther Lake Panther. This marks the next generation of the company’s Intel Core Ultra Processor family and is the first chip to be manufactured using Intel’s semiconductor process.

The processors are expected to start sending later this year and are produced in the Intel’s Chandler, Arizona, Fab 52 Facility, which came to the internet in 2024.

“We are entering a fascinating new computer era, which have become strong from the big jumps forward to semiconductor technology that will form the future for the coming decades,” Tan said in a company press release. “Next -generation computer platforms, coupled with technology technology, manufacturing and advanced packaging capabilities, are catalysts for innovation throughout our business as we create a new Intel.”

Separately, Intel also previewed Xeon 6+, Codenamed Clearwater Forest, which is the first 18A -based server. Intel predicts that this will begin in the first half of 2026.

This is the largest announcement of the company’s construction since Tan took over the Intel CEO in March. In his first weeks, Tan made it clear that it would redefine the company to its basic businesses and restore its first culture.

The announcement also underlines the ties of the 18A semiconductor with the US The company press release emphasized that this is the most advanced chip manufacturing process produced in the domestic market.
