The new Siri AI was the star of the show at Apple’s WWDC 2026 event, and while iOS 27 doesn’t bring any major changes, it still has a lot of small features that could improve everyday use for iPhone users.
Here’s a non-exhaustive list of features that Apple didn’t talk about on stage:
- iOS 27 now lets you add full-screen widgets to the home screen, making it easier to scan your news or calendar.
- Users can now set separate volume levels for alarms, timers, notifications and system sounds. Users should navigate to Settings > Sounds & Haptics, disable the “Match Ringtone Volume” toggle, and adjust the sliders manually.
- Apple makes it easy to copy and paste text or images between apps. When you have text or a screenshot on your clipboard, you’ll have an option on the keyboard to paste it. This is similar to how you post one-time passwords from Messages.

- The weather app gets a design update: There’s a new highlights section that shows notable events over the next few days. Additionally, you can now easily switch between the Conditions, Precipitation and Wind views.

- Users can now customize the Messages app to either show a voice or dictation recording button or hide them entirely.

- Messages now offers a drawing option, allowing you to draw a note or a diagram and send it to others.

- Camera controls are refreshed, with easy access to depth, grid and layer options.

- The emoji keyboard has a small scroll bar at the bottom.
- The timer has a new user interface with a slider when you activate it from the control center.
- You can hide your Find My location from a specific person for a specified period of time without notifying them.
