At Meta Connect 2025 on Wednesday, the company unveiled the new Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses oriented towards runners, cyclists and other athletes. Retail glasses for $ 499 and start on October 21st.

Meta Connect is the largest conference of the year of social networking, where it reveals smart glasses and VR headphones.

The glasses have a large consolidated front lens, instead of having two cameras mounted on the top corners of the frames, which are found in previous post -out -of -the -arts and model Oakley Meta Hstn. The new glasses can capture videos in a resolution of up to 3K and have a 12 megapixel camera with a 122 -degree wide angle lens.

Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses have a programmable button that can activate an AI customized prompt, which you can set up using the Meta AI app. Meta notes that all the buttons on smart glasses are down to allow athletes to wear helmets comfortably when using them.

Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses have up to nine hours of battery life or up to six hours of continuous music reproduction. The glasses have a charging case that can offer an additional 36 -on -motion billing. Meta notes that users can quickly charge glasses at 50% in 20 minutes through the charging case.

Meta says that open ear speakers, which are six decibels louder than Oakley Meta Hstn, are the most powerful speakers in any of its glasses. They also have an optimized five microphone array to reduce wind noise while in calls, messages or using meta AI with your voice.

The glasses have a IP67 dust and water resistance rating for use during intense workouts, the highest of any of the Meta’s smart glasses, according to the company. Meta says the design of the glasses features Oakley Prizmtm lens technology, designed to exclude the sun, wind and dust.

Holding with the athletic theme, glasses can be integrated with Garmin Smartwatches. Users can request smart glasses for statistics such as your heart rate and rhythm during execution, cycling or participation in other activities. They can also be integrated with Strava. Oakley Meta Vanguard will be available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Denmark, Elvetia. Meta plans to start glasses in Mexico, India, Brazil and the United Arab Emirates later this year.

Wednesday’s announcement comes three months after the revelation of Oakley Meta Hstn Smart Glasses. At that time, the company said that smart glasses were “its first product for athletes and fans”.

Meta also unveiled its new pair of Ray-Ban branded glasses on Wednesday with a built-in display for applications, photos and instructions alongside a portable bracelet to check.
