Meta has sued the manufacturer of a popular AI “Nudify” application, Crush AI, who allegedly ran thousands of ads on Meta platforms. In addition to treatment, Meta says it is taking new measures to break other applications such as Crush AI.

In a lawsuit filed in Hong Kong, the Meta supposed timeline Joy HK, the entity behind Crush AI, attempted to bypass the company review process for the distribution of ads for AI Nudify services. Meta said in a post on the blog that she repeatedly removed ads from the entity to violate her policies, but claims that Joy Timeline HK continued to place additional ads anyway.

Crush AI, using genetics AI to make false, sexually clear images of real people without their consent, according to information Ran more than 8,000 ads for the “AI Gradish” services on the Meta platform In the first two weeks of 2025, according to the author of Fated up newsletter, Alexios Mantzarlis. In a January report, Mantzarlis claimed that Crush AI sites received about 90% of their release either from Facebook or Instagram and noted many of these sites on META.

The AI crash allegedly avoided META’s review procedures, creating dozens of advertising accounts and often changed domain names. Many of the Crush AI advertising accounts, according to Mantzarlis, were called “Eraser Annyone’s clothes” followed by different numbers. At one point, Crush AI still had a Facebook page promoting its service.

Facebook and Instagram are almost the only platforms dealing with such challenges. As social media companies, such as X and Meta Race to add AI to their applications, they have also struggled to mitigate the way AI can make their platforms insecure for users, especially minors.

Researchers have found that links with AI gift applications increased in 2024 on platforms like x and redditand on YouTube, millions of people reported Ads are served for such applications. In response to this growing problem, META and Tiktok have Prohibited Words -keywords for AI Nudify applicationsBut the removal of these services from their platforms has proven to be provocative.

In a blog post, Meta said it has developed new technology to specific ads for AI Nudify or Goddressing “even when ads themselves do not include naked”. The company said it is now using the technology that fits to help find and remove copy ads faster and has expanded the list of terms, phrases and emoji highlighted by its systems.

Meta also said it also applies the tactic that is traditionally used to disrupt the networks of bad factors on these new account networks that execute AI Nudify services. Since the beginning of 2025, Meta said, he has disturbed four separate networks that promote these services.

In addition to its applications, the company said it will start sharing information on AI Nudify applications via Tech Coalition’s LanternA collective effort between Google, Meta, Snap and other companies to prevent sexual exploitation of children online. Meta says it has provided more than 3,800 unique URLs with this network since March.

In the legislative front, Meta said he would “continue legislation This authorizes parents to oversee and approve the downloads of their adolescent applications. “The company has previously argued the US to abolish it and said it is now working with legislators to implement it.
