Pocket Fm Gives Its Authors An Ai Tool To Convert

India’s audio platform platform Pocket fm It aims to be the Netflix of the sound. That is, the company intends to match its series of sound with hundreds of episodes in its users’ preferences. In order for this to work, it must quickly release content – something that is now turning to AI to help.

Lightspeed starting gives its authors a AI tool set that can do things as they suggest better endings in an episode or make the narrative more attractive. Hope is that the tools will accelerate the story writing process.

Pocket FM already uses some AI tools like Elevenlabs to create voices for sound series. Also try the AI tools for writing and adjusting an help internally.

Rohan Nayak, founder of Pocket FM, said he is unraveling AI tools to all writers, so it will take them less time to finish their episodes.

The writing tool, called CopilotIt can be used to help every writer create a story.

Copilot can convert the writing based on narratives based on dialogue for a particular section. It can also make “Beat analysis” to shape writing in a way to make more exciting for a series of sound of a particular kind. The tool has additional basic Chatbot writing features, such as “Shorten”, “Expand”, and the ability to create text through a prompt.

To build Copilot, the company examined thousands of hours of data points to understand what makes users more involved with a particular story in a particular genre.

On this basis, he added features of writing sentences aimed at increasing conflicts between characters and composers for an episode to make it more exciting. AI may also suggest labels for background results that can be used when producing audio.

The tool can automatically create character bios, their relationships and summarize the design points of different episodes, allowing creators to refer to these details during writing.

Copilot also has a review tool, which controls for design points, grammar and leaves quality feedback through comments in an episode.

Underneath the hood, the Pocket FM trains smaller models to maintain the frame for a story about arches and character relationships, along with narrative consistency. In addition, using users’ signals, starting pushes AI to add more drama to history.

International Plans of Expansion and Detection

Along with the arrival of AI tools, the Pocket FM started adjusting tools for various markets that not only translate the text from one language to another, but change the names and phrases that are best suited for the culture of this area.

The company first debuted this tool as part of the Copilot suite in Germany earlier this year to turn stories from other areas after information Struggles to attract users to the European country last year.

Nayak said the company saw excellent results from this test, with a constant increase in monthly application revenue, which crossed $ 700,000 in June.

“When we started expanding to new areas, we used 12-18 months to actually be on the market.

The tool increased the author’s 50% productivity for the German market in terms of production. In addition, the tool helped the company create more plans without errors of appearances that led to higher user maintenance for audio series.

In the US, the series created with the help of these new AI tools now contribute to 10% of the breeding time. In addition, these broadcasts have generated revenue of $ 7 million in the last 12 months, while reducing production costs by 2-3 times.

Creating technology on a scale creating content

As a result of adopting different AI features internally, the Pocket FM was able to escalate the content quickly. The start said it started close to 1,000 pilots per month. And only the huge volume of content results in some of them being hit.

But the audio broadcast is just one place. The company is already working on tools to turn stories into comic strips with its own Toons pocket platform. In addition, Nayak said the video is a possible form that the company could also explore. The start, which has raised more than $ 196 million in round funding, is experimenting with a micro -mark application as well.

Until next year, Pocket FM wants to release its own unique linguistic model (LLM), which will be based on data collected from its appearances and incorporate different tools such as writing, adopting, dramatizing and maintaining stories. The company’s co -founder, Prarateek Dixit, said that when it goes to its own LLM, she will not need to train a tone of small models for unique features.

The potential disadvantages of AI

The adoption of AI had its side effects.

Pocket FM has already fired people who were employees or contractors opposite multiple rounds In the past 12 months. Authors’ reports have also been reported reduced returns Over time. And the company is facing California lawsuits for employment and wages.

“Like most industries carried out by the content, we are working with a different network of writers, vocal artists and production partners on a basis, in response to any redundancies.

There are also questions about quality. The company measures quality from the maintenance of a show.

The main argument is that the new AI tools act as a writers’ hall even for solo creators, so they will be able to produce more rapid content. In addition, based on the numbers, authors can quickly process the story with the help of AI. However, these tools can very well cause “ai slop”-or low quality content produced by the AI-on the platform and could affect a user’s recommendations, making it difficult for them to discover good stories.

Pocket FM argues that stories that have a solid structure will gain popularity despite the AI helping them.

The company noted that each piece of content is examined by the AI -powered moderation framework to ensure quality and originality. It also claims AI’s moderation controls on things such as coating, intellectual property issues, content health and other quality measures before approved the sound to go alive. Each demonstration receives an equal push and the involvement of users ultimately determines the demonstration classification.

Another concern is that the authors could be excessively dependent on AI over time.

In Germany, AI writes more content than people per demonstration for selected titles. With Pocket FM’s plans to develop more AI tools, the amount of AI content could be increased. And with that, the expectation of blinking more shows could also increase. Unless the user’s adoption also increases rapidly, the average yields could be reduced.

The company was not directly addressed to TechCrunch questions about returns, but said AI tools could accelerate a writer’s work and help them elaborate on an episode based on numbers and public feedback. This could make targeted improvements instead of making a complete re -registration.

“In this way, faster content creation does not dilute quality or relevance, but shifts the author’s role to the processing, refinement and guidance of more productive production,” a spokesman said in a statement.
