Spotify brings the video podcast to Netflix from next year, the company announced on Tuesday. In the midst of the company’s impulse to further expand the selection of video content and enhance its advertising companies, Spotify has announced a collaboration with Netflix to present the Podcast Select Video in the popular flow service.

During the launch, the Netflix-Spotify partnership will bring a diligent choice of sport, culture, lifestyle and true podcasts from Spotify Studios and Ringer on Netflix. Over time, the deal will see Spotify by adding even more podcasts than other studios and genres, Spotify said.

The move follows the increased Spotify focus on podcast videos, starting with the launch of tools that allowed anyone to post their broadcasts as a video. In the past year, the company has added incentives that have paid Podcaster’s guests for their popular videos and launched a partners’ program so that hosts can generate revenue from their content on a YouTube challenge.

Spotify has also recently released various social tools that allow hosts to involve their audiences, including polls, Q&As comments, comments and others.

Spotify’s interest in streaming video comes after a significant shift in its Podcast strategy in 2023, which included layoffs, including The main content and business manager Dawn Ostroff, who had led Podcast’s initiatives. During the Ostroff season, Spotify had invested billions in podcasts, buying studios such as Parcast, Ringer and Gimlet Media and the signature of exclusive podcasts are dealing with big names such as Joe Rogan and Alex Cooper, which have expired.

However, Spotify’s investments have failed to turn into significant profits, demanding a new strategy. The video, which is largely consumed by Gen Z users in particular, offers more opportunities for products and advertising revenue, the company now believes. From E2 2025The company said it now has more than 430,000 podcast videos in its service and video consumption is increasing 20 times faster than eating audio by 2024. More than 350 million Spotify users have also transmitted a video to its platform, up to 65% on a year.

It was achieved for comments, Spotify declined to share the details of its deal with Netflix on advertising or revenue.
