The venture fund Betaworks announced the 10 latest companies starting up from his prestige Camp programthe 13-week bi-monthly residency program that started in 2016 and gave way to names like Hugging Face and Graze Social.

The theme for this year’s Camp is interfaces, as in companies designing products that impact how users experience artificial intelligence. (Previous Camp topics focused on application layers and agents). Applications opened in June and camp began in August, with DemoDay on November 4th.

That’s it the companies participating in the 13th Betaworks Camp:

Nelly — A browser extension, founded by Sid Banothu, that tracks shopping habits.

Primitive — A web application that allows users to use voice to bounce ideas which the platform then turns into a list of tasks and to-dos. The product, founded by Kasey Klimes, can also connect to other productivity tools like Notion and calendars.

Copper oxidation — Founded by Sean Raspet and Laura Sisson, the company works on olfactory technology to create “smell photos,” through a combination of protein folding, odor receptors, and neural graph networks.

My Place, by Orange — A platform, founded by Helen Huang, that allows users to play games that are realistic simulations of everyday human life.

Putty (no website yet) — Although the company is still under wraps, Betaworks said it wanted to work with founder Kevin Chang because he was “deeply engaged with concepts” the company was interested in, including “memory systems, environmental interfaces” and “technology adapted to the more sporadic pace of life.”

Telepath — A computer built with AI and no apps, founded by Stephen Hood, Josh Whiting and Rupert Manfredi.

Feather — A digital assistant that helps create automated workflows for tedious tasks like apartment hunting. Founded by ShaoBo Zhang and Marco Yu.

Nubrain — Founded by Priyanka Jain and Ingo Marquardt, this company creates EEG data (the test used to record the electrical activity of the brain) to help translate human thoughts into speech, text and images.

Presq — Founded by Adam Saleh, Steve Burstyn, and Mikey Robins, this platform allows influencers to upload data to create quick options that allow them to create craftable footwear. It plans to expand into other product areas such as eyewear and homewares soon.

Intention — Founded by Conor Sanchez O’Shea and Gabriel Duemichen, this company helps people focus while working on a desktop computer by removing distractions from the eyes. It tracks user attention and maps the workflow habits of desktop users.

This story has been updated to clarify what Presq.
