In an attempt to maintain users and increasing the commitment, Tinder revises some of its existing features to new, redesigned “ways”, in addition to upgrading the original screen.
The app takes two new features, the dual date and college feature – substantial extensions of existing features – along with a “for you” feature on the home screen that presents the classic Tinder experience. The company said it will add more dating ways that will lean on interests, dating intentions and different ways of connection.
Tinder in June started the dual date operation, which allows users to combine with a friend and match other pairs. The feature was limited to certain launch areas and the company is now rolling around worldwide. Tinder said since July, he has seen users more dedicated and sending 25% more messages per match compared to one-on-one conversations.
Meanwhile, the College feature is based on the existing Tinder U, which was entered in 2018 to let adult students enroll using the college or university e -mail IDs and find possible races in their campus or around. Last year, the company informed the operation to allow students to update their profiles to include details such as graduation year, large, clubs and Greek life. College function allows students to match others anywhere.
“Gen Z has easier longing, low -pressure ways to connect, because what you are and how you want to connect can change from day to day. We have heard our users loud and clearly looking for better races, not only more than them,” said Cleo Long, Global Marketing.
Tinder’s Match Match Group reported these dating features during the profits of Q2 2025 earnings last month.
Tinder said the redesign and double date function is released worldwide, but the college function will be available to compatible users later in the fall.
