AI Startup Purplexity supplies a new AI search engine on Truth Social, President Donald Trump’s social media platform.

The search engine, called the Truth Search AI, is already available in the Truth Social Web version, with Beta public tests in iOS and Android applications designed for the “near future”.

Said Trump Media a press release This embarrassment technology provides “immediate, contextual accurate answers with transparent references”, which will help the truth “socially” to exponentially increase the amount of information available “to users. Nevertheless, the social media platform maintains control of the sources of information derived by the AI search engine.

Truth Social uses API Sonar Pulplexity Sonar, which promises to ask the web to recover current and verified information – even if this information is rendered by websites that block Perplexity detectors – and support a structured output so that users can specify the format the format to Search.

Jesse Dwyer, a spokesman for Pulplexity, told TechCrunch that the API Sonar will be accurate to any sources the truth is that socially limit them.

“We have no visibility or control over it,” Dwyer said. “Similar to the use of API within your own company or if you were an academic researcher and wanted to use it to look for your own data.”

TechCrunch has arrived at Trump Media to find out more about whether the truth AI will have access to the entire web, or prioritize some sources over others and whether the AI will be responsible for responding favorably to the President and the current administration and adversely to Democrats.

To evaluate what sources will report Searchbot, Worthy He asked a bundle of questions – like “What happened on January 6, 2021? And “Why was Donald Trump accused?” In all the answers, Foxnews.com was either the most common or the only source of information. Others are included Foxbusiness.comThe times of Washington or seasonal times, per valid.

On the contrary, Perplexity’s public search engine returns a wider variety of sources, such as Wikipedia, Reddit, YouTube, NPR and Politico.

The truth of social plans for improving and expanding the search function “based on user feedback, as we apply a wide range of additional improvements to the platform,” Devin Nunes, chief executive of Trump Media and former California Congress, told the statement.

Dmitry Shevelenko, head of Perplexity’s businessman, also noted in the statement that Pulplexity’s AI offers “transparent references that allow anyone to dig deeper”.

At the end of July, along with AI’s Action Plan, Trump published an executive order aimed at “biased AI” or models that are not “ideologically neutral”. The order specifically refers to information on race or gender, unconscious bias, systematic racism and other ideas that are thrown into diversity, equality and integration (dei) bin as “widespread and destructive” ideology that can “distort its quality”.

ARUTH SEARCH AI comes the same week that top AI companies such as Openai, Anthropic and Google have been added to a list of approved sellers who can sell their services to federal services. Openai reached an agreement on Wednesday with the US government’s central market arm to sell Chatgpt Enterprise to organizations for just $ 1 a year.
