Few figures in the technology industry have earned the storied reputation of Vinod Khosla, founder and partner of Khosla Ventures. For more than 40 years, it has been at the center of Silicon Valley, building or supporting some of the largest and most influential technology companies. His career dates back to his days as the founder of Sun Microsystems and spans decades of business investment. Khosla’s firm today is known for its stakes in companies such as Affirm, Block, DoorDash, GitLab, Okta and Opendoor, to name a few of its hundreds of successful portfolio companies.

These days, he’s at the center of OpenAI as one of the first VCs to back the company, writing a $50 million check in 2019, years before ChatGPT caught the world’s attention.

Always focused on the future, Khosla will be our guest in a must-see keynote session at TechCrunch Disrupt 2024 this October, where he will discuss the major tech trends that are changing our lives.

Khosla believes that artificial intelligence will change the structure of human society, allowing 7 billion people to live as 700 million live. He sees a future where artificial intelligence provides unlimited doctors, teachers and workers. And it invests in technologies that change our food and the economies that produce it, that produce new medicines and treatments, and in new building and construction materials.

This wave of change will come with its own set of issues, he warns: job displacement, inequality, terrorism and misregulation.

But ultimately he says he’s optimistic about what’s possible, and to those who want to be a part of this powerful new future, he’ll share advice on what to do now.

Don’t miss your chance to hear Vinod Khosla live at TechCrunch Disrupt 2024. Secure your tickets by May 31 to save up to $800. Be sure to check out more speakers here and stay tuned for more big name announcements.
