The United Natural Foods (UNFI) grocery stores said on Tuesday that it is working to restore its capabilities after a cyberspace last week that continues to disturb the grocery store chain.

Unfi said as part of The third quarter profit report That “management was confirmed thoroughly through cyberspace,” he confirmed on Monday. The company “helps our customers with short -term solutions where possible,” said UNFI CEO Sandy Douglas in prepared observations.

Concerning the company’s conference after the Conference, Douglas said that the UNFI “continues to safely bring our systems to the internet and restore wide -based customer service as soon as possible”.

The company, which is the primary distributor of Whole Foods owned by Amazon, supplies over 250,000 grocery products, including frozen goods, revealed on Monday that it had identified unauthorized access to its IT systems. Douglas told his call on Tuesday that the company has since closed its entire network.

The company has not described the nature of cyberspace, but said the penetration has caused continuing disorders in its activities, including its ability to fulfill and distribute customer orders.

Douglas told investors on the call that the company sends customers “on a limited basis”.

An UNFI customer told TechCrunch that they are tasting a new product at Whole Foods stores this week, but said that much of their offer had not been delivered. Customer said they have heard nothing of food or whole foods for the disorder.

TechCrunch has heard anecdotal reports of reduced or empty shelves in some stores affected by UNFI disorder, but are not immediately clear whether it is due to cyberattack issues or other supply chains. Much of the real impact of the real world on grocery stores and their customers may not appear until later this week.

Whole Foods did not return a request for comments from TechCrunch. Reuters reported A representative of whole food Saying that the retail giant “worked to restore our shelves as soon as possible” and said additional questions back to UNFI.

It is not clear how much UNFI has been spent on cyberspace, nor is it ultimately responsible for cyber security in the company.

An UNFI spokesman did not respond to a request for comments when it came into contact with TechCrunch on Tuesday.

Much of UNFI’s external systems are offline, including online systems used by suppliers and customers, as well as the company’s VPN products, according to TechCrunch.

UNFI reported $ 8.1 billion in net sales in the quarter ending on May 3, 2025. The company said it expects to report the loss of net income and profits per share for the prospect of 2025 after the end of a contract with the US Grocery Business Cyberettack’s “Continuing Evaluation”.
