Some users and designers have already transferred the new Apple user interface called Liquid Glass, even though it is a little early. There are reasons to believe that it can be improved – but also valid reviews.

While undoubtedly the revision of operating system design looks endless in many places – notifications are Too hard to readand then there is that monstrosity Since the control center coating – what Apple has so far been sent is the first Beta developer, not the final release. There is still time for many of the current design systems problems that need to be improved and corrected as Apple launches iOS 26 and other OS updates to the public later this fall.

The dramatic renewal of the appearance and feeling of the iPhone was announced at this year’s conference conference and is described by Apple as “broader design update”. The Liquid Glass, the company explained, will extend to all Apple platforms, unifying Apple’s use experience.

Inspired by Apple’s Vision Pro Vision Vision, Liquid Glass is so called because it utilizes the visual quality of the glass in its elements – refracts light and has translucent materials. The update also modernizes the interface of the operating system in a way that apparently appears to be ready to later expand to other devices, such as AR glasses.

However, there are parts of the interface where various elements are simply very difficult to read-and not just for low vision users (or for middle-aged). Even Apple Press Release It includes a photo of the Apple Music user interface, where it is difficult to make the artist’s name in his open gray font in a translucent bar. This is because this is a photo approved by Apple, which would seem to show that this part of the operating system is at least over.

Other users share similar concerns about reading reading through their alerts on the iPhone lock screen, where, depending on the colors of your background wallpaper, the text becomes either easier or more difficult to read as you move.

This issue can even be observed in Apple’s Central WwDC Central Directorate, where glass notifications seem to require a piece of squinting to analyze.

As developers and other curious technology lovers began to try out the original beta, they realized that the problem with reading alerts was even worse when the iPhone wallpaper was brighter, with lighter colors. Here, the white text almost fades on the background in places. Perhaps Apple helps us to wean from our screen addictions?

The iOS 26 control center is also almost useless in the programmer’s first beta, as there is a slight blurred background to hide the icons and widgets of the original screen behind the various center checks, buttons and regulators. Surely Apple designers don’t think this is the finished product? Why didn’t they increase the blurred background before the mission?

This is the unfinished work that needs more than a little adjustment.

There is room for criticism and other options, as well as Cartoons This loses the sign – but these are probably unfinished. Or so we hoped.

Despite its initial defects, there is evidence that the up -to -date design system will pay more attention to detail over time, even if this is not so obvious in this first version due to its most intense issues.

For beginners, Apple’s icons look beautiful In their new glassy style (not Designed by a marketing committee this time), and some of the impacts concerning formatting buttons They are impressive. The moving wet glass was overlapped over the home screen blurred and extends to the background as if a real piece of glass was pulled over the top.

There are other thin touches that make the design elements feel like glass, Like the way the “Adaptation” button reflects The colors of the different wallpapers above this as you move through them while personalizing your original screen. The feature may need to be improved, but it is an example that proves that wet glass was not an Apple rush job.

Even Apple’s competitors have been aware.

“Wet glass … I like it a bit?” did not publish anything chief executive Carl pei to xWho recently approved That the future of smartphones will include interaction with AI through the operating system itself, not necessarily through applications.

Wet glass looks best mounted for such a world, where applications become the focus as their icons fade into the background – yet optional, Becoming clear glass.

Of course, there are concerns that Apple will not be able to balance the use of the iPhone battery that requires its news-especially on older devices-but we will not know if this is true until the company transfers a final version of iOS.

However, Apple has tried to calm users’ stress on this front, explaining during the WWDC Keynote management that the advances it made in the material, silicon and graphics technologies have paved the way for this kind of user interface.

In addition, Apple already offers a way to change some of them More effects and movements to save energy to save battery life, And this will probably apply to wet glass.

It is also worth remembering that the last major revision of its mobile operation, iOS 7, was similarly Undeterred at its first version. The original beta appeared illegible UI items and fine lines and fonts that led to Some criticism On the usability and functioning of the operation. Over time, this design has been improved and is now regarded as exactly what the iPhone software looks like – if it is considered at all.

The same will probably apply to wet glass … after all.
