While Apple introduced iOS 26 on WWDC 2025 on Monday, there were many rumors that appeared in front of the event, including the new name for the operating system, a special gambling application and a virtual health coach.

Here is a Roundup of The most notable features are rumored to come to iOS 26 that came true. And be sure to see Keynote’s live coverage here.

New name

Apple has been renamed its operating systems to reflect the release year instead of using version numbers. This means that iOS 19 will be renamed iOS 26, similar to the way in which the years of car models are defined. This name change will also apply to other software updates, such as iPados 26, MacOS 26, Watchos 26, Tvos 26 and Visionos 26.

Important design review

It is referred to as the most important design change from iOS 7, the operating system has a complete visual repair inspired by Apple’s Vision Pro Headset; the company refers to the new interface as a wet glass. This includes a translucent panel for navigation and circular application icons. The design inspired by Visionos will be built throughout the Apple ecosystem (including Carplay), with the aim of creating a more coherent experience.

In addition, three applications have undergone most changes – phone, camera and safari. For example, the phone app has a new option that allows users to merge their favorite contacts, recent calls and vocal messages in a single view. Meanwhile, both camera application and safari have more visual updates, such as a transparent address line to implement Apple’s browser.

Dedicated gambling application

Apple has also unveiled a new gambling application that incorporates Apple Arcade and App Store game offers, with a central hub for achievements, leaderboards and App Store content. This comes after the company acquired his first game studioRac7, according to DigitalTrends.

Virtual health coach

Apple also announced Buddy Workout, an AI feature to serve as coach. The new Chatbot aims to motivate users through real -time training and gathers data from the health application, such as the rhythm and the total miles recorded.

Parachute It was previously reported that the health application could be renewed to include a food monitoring possibility, allowing users to record carbohydrate and caffeine intake. However, Apple did not mention this during the event.

AI translation for messages

The messaging app receives a translation feature that can automatically translate, which can automatically translate messages once they hit the inbox of users. Apple Intelligence also dominates a new feature of polls that allows people to vote for group talks and offer Pists created by AI. 9TO5MAC Reported both features.

In addition, the messages added the ability to set a background image by following the steps of WhatsApp and Instagram.

Applying Preview

Apple brings the preview app from MacOS users to iPad users, allowing them to comment and process PDFS. This was reported by Parachute.

What about Siri?

A remarkable absence from today’s Keynote was the impressive Siri capabilities that were highlighted in the Apple presentation in 2024, which included a more environmental assistant that can gather information and perform actions in various applications. The company said in March that new features are delayed.

In addition, Apple is rumored to have announced Battery Management with AI modewhich was missing from the multitude of announcements. The feature was reported to analyze the use of the device and make adjustments to maintain the battery life. THE Rumors of reverse wireless chargingwhich would allow users to charge accessories such as AirPods or Apple Watch directly from their iPhone, were also not announced.

Another missing update from Keynote was a reputation for Genmoji, which is said to allow users to combine existing standard emojis, such as a basketball that goes to a trash can.

This story was first published on June 3 and has been informed after the confirmation of rumors.
