Facebook will begin to reduce the range of accounts sharing the SPAMMY content and making them unregistered for revenue, META announced on Thursday. The company also increases efforts to remove Facebook accounts that coordinate the false commitment and obsession of others, he says.

The move comes as a CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg has promised a return to “OG Facebook”. The social network plan to break the contents of spammy could be seen as an attempt to return to Facebook’s glory days when user flows were full of authentic content from real people.

Meta admits that some accounts on its platform are trying to play the algorithm to increase views or to obtain unjust advantages of revenue, which lead to spammy content that floods users’ flows. To fix this, it collapses into accounts that show certain types of Spammy behavior.

This type of behavior includes accounts sharing content with large captions along with an excessive number of hashtags. It also includes accounts that publish content with content that are not related to content, such as a picture of a caption dog about the events of the plane.

Meta says that while the intention behind such positions is not always malicious, it leads to spammy content that ends up overshadowing the original content by the creators.

Facebook will also target spam networks that create hundreds of networks to share the same spammy content, making them not eligible for revenue.

The suppression of the spammy content comes as AI Slop becomes a serious problem On all social media platforms, including Facebook. The company told TechCrunch that its repression is not directly targeted at AI Slep, but notes that spammy behavior accounts, while sharing this type of content, will be affected. Facebook says it is aware of the concerns about the supply of AI users and says it will treat the issue as part of its wider focus on improving users’ flows.

As part of today’s announcement, Facebook also said it would reduce the range and promotion of comments it detects as a false commitment. In addition, Facebook will start testing a comment feature that will allow users to mark which comments are irrelevant or do not fit within the conversation.

In addition, Facebook announced that it is informing the comment management tool about detection and automatic property comments from people who may use a false identity. The creators will also be able to report deformities in the comments.

Today’s announcement comes a few weeks after the renewed “Friends” tab, which will present updates from friends, without any other recommended content. Both the New Friends tab and the suppression of the spammy content show that Facebook is trying to improve users’ flows and show them content they really want to see.

It is no surprise that Facebook wants to return to “OG Facebook”, especially since recently revealing emails in 2022 it has shown that Zuckerberg was worried that the social network lost cultural importance.
