The newly established businesses that develop AI voice technology and applications have their time. Applications like Notetaker Granola and AI meeting tools and meeting tools read AI and Fireflies ai They have also received the attention of investors and support.

Continuing the voltage, the application of dictation Flow wispr It was announced today that it raises $ 30 million in funding from Menlo Ventures with the participation of NEA, 8VC, CEO by Opal Kenneth Schlenker, founder Pinterest Evan Sharp, CEO of Carta Henry Ward and CEO Lindy Floelli. Matt Krano of Menlo Ventures, who also supported the company as an Angelos investor, will participate in his Board of Directors. To date, the company has raised $ 56 million.

The founder and chief executive of the boot, Tanay Kothari, began creating Wispr to create a device that would allow users to type only with words silently. His previous funding was for this business.

Last year, the company began to focus on the WISPR flow, the software interface designed for the hardware.

The company released an MAC application in October 2024, followed by a Windows application in March 2025 and an iOS application earlier this month. Kothari said that, from its premature release, VCs at Silicon Valley have used the product.

“I think every business fund in the valley uses the Wispr flow for emails, notes, documents and much more. They feel they are hooked on it and are one of the products they use daily.

Specifically, Granola also had a similar story of receiving huge interest in investors because the VCs used their product a lot.

Kothari also noted that the start would soon achieve profitability with the current growth rate and initially did not want to raise money. However, he was worried that big technology players with a huge distribution advantage could be a danger to the company. He wanted to multiply the revenue quickly and reach the company’s revenue and decided to get the investment.

Menlo Ventures Managing Director Matt Kraning, who was a greedy application user, said his initial wispr thesis was that with the current set of input methods, such as keyboards, “we are waiting for our thumbs to cover our thoughts”.

“Wispr flow creates an effective way to translate digital thoughts and intent.

Users growth and future course map

The start stated that the application increases its user base by 50% month to month. Kothari noted that 40% of application users are in the US, 30% in Europe and 30% in other parts of the world. In addition, more than 30% of application users come from a non -technical background.

“More and more people use AI tools, but still there is no good interface for people who are not technicians.” Kothari said Kothari.

At present, the WISPR flow supports the dictation of 104 languages. Kothari said 40% of buildings are in English and 60% of them are in other languages, with Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Hindi and Mandarin being the top languages.

The company will use funding to increase its 18th team with roles in engineering and market. An Android application will also be released and serve business users, creating phrase and support groups at the company level and support groups.

Starting works for flow building on a product that looks like an AI assistant who knows more about your personal framework and helps you do daily duties such as sending messages, take notes and set reminders. In addition, the company said it works with some AI hardware partners, without calling them to supply the interaction mattress.
